Tennessee

On February 1, 2025, the state of Tennessee introduced a 0.5% Local Transit Surcharge onto the local tax rate in Davidson County. Tennessee has updated their official rate and boundary files to include new Sales Tax Jurisdiction codes for this change so that it will now be part of the standard tax calculation in this area, as well as appear distinctly on your sales tax liability report for filing. More information may be found here.

The new STJ codes have been added to the second Special Tax District Code set of fields for each address record inside Davidson County. This means Goodlettsville and Ridgetop now have 2 STJ codes for the local tax portion.
